India

In India HSC/Intermediate is known as 12th class (also also known as +2) exam that is held at the state level through states' boards of education such as (Maharashtra board, MP board, Odia board, MP board Odia Bihar board, among others) In addition, on a national scale, it is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, Sikkim (BOSSE) and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). CBSE offers this exam every year. NIOS runs it twice a year, during public exams. There is also the option of exams that are available on demand. Another exam is the 10th grade exam is also administered at the state level by the State boards for education and also at the national level by the Central Board of Secondary Education and in India the exam is referred to as SSC exam. There are 6 subjects within the HSC exam which are different for the particular State Board but common in cases of exams administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education

Pakistan

It is also known as the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) that is also referred to as Intermediate, is an official examination that is administered to students of the Higher Secondary institution or intermediate college (Junior college) in Pakistan. Once they have completed Matriculation grade 9 and 10, the students then enter into intermediate school and complete their grade 11 and 12. Once they have completed each of two grades, they again must pass the standardized tests in the subject areas they're studying. These tests are offered in provincial schools on a provincial scale as well as by the FBISE for federal schools. If they pass students are awarded an Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). This stage of e learning is also known as FSc/FA/ICS. There are several streams for students to choose for their 11 or 12th grades, which include pre-medical engineering and humanities (or social science) and commerce and computer science. Each stream is comprised of three electives in addition to three mandatory subjects, including English, Urdu, Islamiyat (grade 11 only) and Pakistan Studies (grade 12 only).

Nepal

National Examination Board (Nepal) is the body responsible for the administration of all exams for senior schools. These include the 11th-12th grades Higher Secondary examinations (10+2) 11th and 12th grades SEE Exams, and the 8th eighth grade District Level Exam. If a student passes Higher Secondary Examinations students will be capable of attending University.

Alongside National exams for higher secondary, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) GCE Advanced Level qualifications (known as A-level) is also offered by a few of the private, public and foreign schools. The level is considered to be equivalent to National secondary (10+2) examination.
