Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

The application form is available for the first applicant. Provide proof of an address change, or other information.
If the applicants don't provide proof of changing of address, the applicant can sign the form to the people listed below.
- Gazetted Officer - Group A
- Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
- Gazetted Officer - Group B
- MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
- Tehsildar
- Head of Recognized Education Institution
- Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
- Recognized shelter homes/Orphanages
- Officer EPFO
In the meantime, you need to go to the nearest Aadhaar Center along with this application form for an address change, or you could apply online for the Address change within the Aadhaar Number by following this link - Address Change Link

UIDAI allows cardholders with Aadhaar cardsto change their address without the need for documentation. Aadhaar cardholders were permitted to alter their address even if they have not provided proof of identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily shut down a vital feature which permits you to alter the address of your Aadhaar card's address with no identity proof.

UIDAI permits cardholders with Aadhaar cards to change their address without requiring any paperwork. Aadhaar cardholders are able to change their address only if they consent to the authentication by the verifier of their address. An address verifier could be a close friend, relative or landlord who permits the Aadhaar card user to verify their address.

UIDAI has now stopped this feature. UIDAI was notified by an Aadhaar Card user by tweeting the capability to update address on the Aadhaar Card using an Address Validation Form was canceled. UIDAI has requested for the Aadhaar issuer to remind the user that they can change their address by using another legitimate PoA document.

UIDAI has listed the following documents in the form of POA documents (Proof Of Address) documents that contain Name and Address for Aadhaar cards

Passport

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not older that 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older that 3 months)

Check your Credit Card Balance (not older than 3 month).

Signature letter and photo from registered company on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

Identity card of parent (in the case of minors)

Central/ State Govt. Awarded an allotment note for accommodation. (Not exceeding 3 years)

Bhamashah/Jan Aadhaar card issued Governmentt. Rajasthan

Certificate from the Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Of Institution of a shelter that is recognized, orphanages etc. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update
